Terms and Conditions

 

All reservations made at accommodations managed by SCH are governed by the following terms and conditions:

 

1. Booking Conditions

 

1.1 Minimum Age: Reservations will only be accepted from guests over 18 years of age.

 

1.2 Reservation Confirmation: Reservations will only be confirmed upon receipt of the deposit or effective payment from the credit card provided.

 

1.3 Occupancy: All types of accommodation are subject to the maximum number of occupancy established.

 

1.4 Minimum stay - All reservations are subject to a minimum number of nights that varies between 2, 5 or 7 nights according to the specific dates. SCH reserves the right to change the minimum number of nights on specific dates.

 

1.5 Changes in Reservation - Any change in reservation, including reservation dates, number of guests per accommodation, or the number of confirmed accommodations will be subject to the prices in effect at the time of the reservation change, which may vary from the values previously shown.

 

2. Prices

 

2.1 Prices - The prices shown are per night per accommodation.

 

2.2 Price Changes and Conditions: All rates, offers and promotions are subject to specific restrictions, terms and conditions. SCH has the right to change at any time or apply to specific dates any rate, offer or promotion.

 

3. Fares and Cancellation Policy

 

Our cancellation policy varies depending on the rate selected at the time of your reservation:

 

3.1 - Standard Rate: To confirm your reservation you must make a deposit in the amount of 20% within 7 days of the time of booking, otherwise your reservation will be cancelled.

This rate provides for free cancellation up to 30 days before the check-in date, after this date the deposit will not be refunded.

The remaining amount must be paid 30 days before the check-in date, and will not be refunded in case of cancellation, no-show or change of reservation.

 

3.2 - Non-Refundable Rate: In this case, your reservation will only be confirmed after the payment of the total amount of your reservation.

In case of cancellation or change of reservation, the amount paid will not be refunded.

 

3.3 - No Show: If the check-in is not made within the times indicated, the reservation is considered a no-show, and it is cancelled. In this case, the amount already paid will not be refunded.

 

4. Forms of Payment

At the different moments of your reservation process, regardless of the rate you choose, the payment and/or deposit must be made through:

- Credit Card (American Express credit card payments are not accepted);

- Bank Transfer;

- PayPal;

- MB WAY.

 

In the event that fees or incidents apply during your stay, SCH reserves the right to charge the outstanding amounts on a daily basis.

 

5. Security Deposit

 

A deposit of €200 must be given at check-in and will be refunded within 14 days after check-out if no damage has occurred to the accommodation or if any specialized cleaning is required.

 

The deposit can be given by the following methods:

- Pre-authorization of this amount on your credit card;

- Paypal;

- MB WAY;

- Bank Transfer;

- Cash.

 

When the values of the damages are higher than the value of the deposit, SCH also reserves the right to charge these values to your credit card after your departure.

 

6. Changes or cancellations under SCH's responsibility 

 

In exceptional situations, SCH reserves the right to assign another accommodation to the guest, or, if it is not possible to assign an alternative accommodation, SCH reserves the right to cancel the guest's reservation.

 

In the event of cancellation, the guest will be reimbursed for the total amount already paid, and SCH assumes no additional responsibility pertaining to the cancellation of the reservation.

 

7. Check-in 

 

 7.1 - Identification Documents

 

- You will receive a link in the days before the check-in date where you will be asked to provide your personal data and identification documents for all guests.

 

- The completion and signature of the form are essential for the delivery of the keys. If this document is not properly filled out and returned on time, SCH reserves the right to refuse the guests' stay, and there will be no refund of any amounts already paid.

 

7.2 Key collection

 

7.2.1 Key collection from the safe: You may collect the keys from the safe free of charge anytime after 3:00 PM. You will be informed in due time of the necessary procedures as well as the address of the key collection which may be either the SCH office address or the accommodation address.

 

7.2.2- Key collection in person: You can also choose to collect the keys to your apartment or holiday home at the SCH office every day from 3:00 pm to 6:00 pm. Should you wish to collect your keys between 6:00 pm and midnight, extra fees will apply. After midnight, you can only collect your keys from the safe deposit box.

 

7.3 Check-in times

 

7.3.1 - Check-in time - Regardless of the key collection method you choose, you may only enter the property from 3:00 pm until 8:00 am on the following day of your check-in date, otherwise it will be considered a no-show and your reservation will be cancelled. We ask that you advise the SCH reception in advance of your expected arrival time, in order to ensure that the accommodation you have booked is available and ready for your arrival.

 

7.3.2 - Entering the accommodation before 3:00 pm - If you wish to enter the accommodation before 3:00 pm, you must contact SCH in advance and this is only guaranteed when you receive a confirmation from us. In this case, additional fees may apply.

 

7.3.3 - No-show - In case you have not checked-in (either self check-in the next morning or have not checked-in at SCH's office on time), your reservation will be considered a no-show and the rules established in the cancellation policy will apply.

 

8. Check-out

 

8.1 Check-out Time - You must leave the accommodation by 10:00 am. Extra charges may apply if this time is not met.

 

8.2 Late Check-out - Should you wish to request a late check-out, you must contact our reception who will confirm late check-out upon availability. In this case, extra fees may apply.

 

9. Personal Information 

 

SCH recognises the importance of protecting the privacy and security of all information provided by our clients.

 

The personal data provided will be used for processing and billing purposes and whenever required by law, provided to the Portuguese foreigners and border service (Serviço de Estrangeiro e Fronteiras) or any other entity with the legal power to request such data.

 

The data collected will be stored in the reservation management computer system and the photographs of the documents requested for the online check-in process will be automatically deleted after check-out. Signed documents will be kept in paper format for as long as is legally necessary.

 

Personal data collected via the website will be processed by SCH staff manually and through data processing systems for the purpose of fulfilling your requests and carrying out activities in the areas of marketing, promotional activities and forwarding information material related to products and services offered by SCH. In all cases, data will only be collected and processed with your prior informed consent as described in the SCH Privacy Policy and in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) - Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 27 April 2016 on the protection of individuals with regard to the processing of personal data and on the free movement of such data and repealing Directive 95/46/EC.

9. Guest Behaviour

By contracting products and services from SCH, the guest agrees to comply with the internal regulations for use of the accommodation and SCH cannot be held responsible for damages suffered by the guest as a result of its violation.

 

The guest also agrees to adopt appropriate and respectful behaviour towards SCH staff and tenants of the contracted accommodation.

 

SCH reserves the right to request that you withdraw from the accommodation if your behaviour is not appropriate or is harassing others.

 

SCH is not responsible for any damage, accidents or inconvenience caused by reasons beyond its responsibility.

 

10. Accommodation

 

The characteristics of SCH villas/apartments are as stated in the reservation. However, since the photographs that appear on the website were not taken on the day the reservation was made by the client, there may be non-substantial differences between the photographs and the reality on the date the client made use of the contracted services, which do not entitle the client to any modification of the contract.

 

12. Damage, accidents or theft 

 

SCH is not responsible for any accidents, damage or theft that may occur before, during and after the stay to any guest, inside and outside the accommodation managed by SCH.

Under the terms of Portuguese Law No. 144/2015 of September 8, the Customer may resort to the following Consumer Alternative Dispute Resolution Entities:

12. Changes to the Terms and Conditions

 

SCH may revise the above Terms and Conditions whenever necessary to meet legal or technological requirements. Any changes will be posted on the website www.silvercoasthospitality.com.
